Atkore has bolstered its Calbrite® flexible fitting product offering to meet harsh and hygienic application demands. The stainless-steel flex fitting family now includes flameproof versions for Zone 2 applications and hygienic versions for washdown applications.

The Stainless Steel Hazardous Location Flex Fitting has a flameproof barrier gland with an operating temperature range of -60°C to +85°C. Suitable for use with alll Flex Liquid Tight conduit, the compression fitting is corrosion resistant and oil resistant and comprised of body, nut, insert, pot, cap, nylon compression seal and compound barrier. The insert is manufactured in machined nickel-plated brass to facilitate ease of assembly and re-use.

Calbrite®‘s Stainless Steel Hygienic Flex fittings are made of Grade 316 stainless steel and feature a straight external thread. The compression fitting has a flameproof barrier gland and is suitable for use with all Flex Liquid Tight conduits. The corrosion and oil resistant hygienic flex fitting is commonly used in food & beverage processing, pharmaceutical and medical applications. Suitable for knockouts or threaded entries, the stainless-steel compression fitting is comprised of a nut, insert and nylon compression seal that provides high tensile strength. The insert is manufactured in machined nickel-plated brass to facilitate easy assembly and re-use. The flex conduit meets EN1672-2 and EN ISO 14159 design requirements.

Calbrite®‘s Stainless Steel Flex to Rigid Connectors (FCR) rounds out the expanded product offering. The FCR connectors are used to connect stainless flexible conduit to rigid conduit and are approved for damp locations when used with Calbrite®‘s PVC and Clear Coated Flex Conduit.
